SASSA are going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it truly is alarmed with regards to the large quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to sassa service the area on a regular basis. The assistance point made for intervention activities a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
